Building An Online Community: Progress Update

Wanted to provide an update o­n the progress of the site's content. I've decided to do a major content overhaul because I am concentrating o­n quality over quantity.

I've got the new gallery working, I'm scrapping the older gallery because it was double work to upload the file into the members download area and then upload it again into the gallery. I've implemented pagesetter and its working like a charm but I've got to upload/update more of the current listings.

The new year is often a time for reflection so this year wasn't much different but my new year did come with a twist. My mother was diagnosed with cancer the Friday before Christmas -- so needless to say my year started off with a bit more reflection than usual. My mom is doing OK, she has gone through surgery to remove the cancer and slowly recovering. Her prognosis is good but it's been a scary, busy, and roller coaster couple of months.

So now, back to my reflection -- PostNuke has come a long way over the past six years. The project has gone through its own challenges and changes over the years but it's still strong and growing. I continue to use PN for my personal and professional sites. It fits like a glove, so continuing with it as my tool of choice isn't going to change.
